Chair Harry J. Delgado and the AccredNet Leadership Team wish to share an update on the organization’s membership dues.
At this year’s AccredNet conference in New Jersey, membership affirmed – by a unanimous vote – to begin collecting membership fees as stipulated in the organization’s bylaws, effective July 1, 2023. The dues, which are required for membership, are used for AccredNet business, including the annual conference, formalized training and other events, travel, and communication and promotional items.
Since its inception, AccredNet has grown into an influential federation of state law enforcement accreditation entities. AccredNet provides guidance, advocacy and support to advance law enforcement accreditation at the state level and promote excellence in policing through standards that reflect state and national professional best practices.
The organization now holds an annual conference, which presents an opportunity for meaningful discussion of contemporary accreditation issues and best practices among colleagues, as well as networking activities.
Due to the efforts of the membership and leadership past and present, the organization has also achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, gained recognition as a representative of state accreditation programs by the Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, achieved “Credentialing Status” by the DOJ COPS Office to certify agencies’ eligibility to apply for federal grants, and participated in focus groups regarding proposed federal standards.
At this year’s annual conference, a Strategic Planning Committee was also appointed to set a path forward for the organization.
The annual membership fee is set at $250. It will be prorated for 2023 at $125 and the full $250 fee will take effect Jan. 1, 2024. The bylaws state that AccredNet members must pay annual membership dues by Jan. 31 of each year.
Payments can be mailed to:

The organization is working on making additional payment methods available and will share details on those additional methods as they are developed.
